19 Sep ISEC 2018: the DREEAM approach to investment planning
On the 5th of October in Graz, Bax & Company’s Giulia Rinaldi will present the DREEAM project at ISEC 2018 – the International Sustainable Energy Conference.
Organised by AEE INTEC, the conference runs from the 3rd to the 5th of October, intended to be a platform for intensive exchange between research institutes and companies. Under the conference topic Innovation for the Decarbonisation of Buildings and Quarters, Giulia will outline DREEAM’s multi-building approach and specifically focus on the value of scaled investment planning for achieving building owners’ long-term sustainability vision.
A housing association’s renovation programme often starts from a “need” basis analysis, developing solutions for specific buildings without considering the benefit of long-term integrated renovation on a greater scale. Within the DREEAM project, a new integrated approach is used to support cities and housing associations in upscaling their sustainability ambitions and planning their investment at a portfolio level. Alternative investment strategies are developed starting from the building owner’s energy efficiency targets in a way that reaches their sustainability vision.
